ABOUT YELLOW CAB OF COLUMBUS

Columbus Green Cabs, Inc., the parent company of Yellow Cab of Columbus, has been locally owned and operated since 1928 with a third generation family member currently involved in company operations. 

Yellow Cab operates 128 of the 500 taxicabs licensed by the city of Columbus.  Included in the current fleet are 121 four-passenger automobiles and 7 six-passenger vans.   Our cabs are painted all yellow with our trade name, YELLOW, as well as our phone number 444-4444 in black on both sides of the vehicle.

All cabs are equipped with a 2-way radio system that includes an onboard terminal for our computerized GPS dispatching system.  Our offices are located in a completely renovated 26,000 square foot building at 1989 Camero Avenue. We are 10– 12 minutes from downtown Columbus.

Housed in this building is a 20,000 square foot vehicle maintenance area with 13 employees.  The remaining 6,000 square feet of our facility consists of our office and call center area with 12 operation and office personnel and 14 call center representatives.  Our 22 telephone lines are staffed 24/7 utilizing a state of the art Mobile Knowledge Dispatch System.  In case of phone system failure, we use a VOIP system. 

Yellow Cabs insurance coverage exceeds city guidelines.  It is in your best interest to make sure whatever transportation provider you select is also adequately insured.

OUR DRIVER REQUIREMENTS ARE MORE STRINGENT THAN THE CITY OF COLUMBUS

* All of our drivers are independent contractors who must be at least 25 years of age
* Drivers must be in possession of an Ohio Drivers License for at least 5 years
* Drivers must have no more than 6 points
* Drivers cannot have a DUI, license suspension, felony charge or conviction within the last 5 years
* Excellent knowledge of Columbus and surrounding areas is mandatory
